Centre for Animal Rehabilitation and Education

Our mission is to save, conserve and protect South Africa's baboons & wildlife.  All animals matter and have a role to play on our planet.

We are the Centre for Animal Rehabilitation and Education!  A dedicated team that is passionate about caring for and conserving South Africa's wildlife specializing in baboons!

We were established in 1989 and have released over 14 rehabilitated troops of baboons and a myriad of other smaller wildlife species. We specialize in rehabilitation for the release of our beautiful baboons and we are based on the riverside of the Olifant's River in the heart of Balule Nature Reserve, Limpopo South Africa.

Committed to Rescue, Rehabilitation & Release

With specialized, purpose-built facilities, situated in a wildlife reserve, and with an experienced and professional team of scientists and caregivers, we rescue, rehabilitate and release helpless baboons and other small wildlife in need.

Our onsite animal clinic, quarantine facilities, bonding enclosures, and semi-wild enclosures ensure first-class animal care, rehabilitation, and second chances for misplaced, injured, and abused animals, specializing in chacma baboons.
