SA Teen Entrepreneur Trust
CALL TO ACTION
Our national government has described youth unemployment as a national disaster. We see its effects all around us, translating to despondent youth with little/no hope for the future, we see it translating to increased crime and social ills. We cannot rely on only government to turn this scourge around; each of us has a role to play in nurturing and developing young people who are able to sustain themselves and contribute meaningfully to society and the economy in a positive way.
Our Teen Entrepreneur programme was developed in 2010 to equip young South Africans with the requisite skills to start their own sustainable businesses as a means of alleviating disproportionately high unemployment, particularly amongst the youth in our country.
How can you participate?
By making a once-off or monthly financial contribution, you are playing your part in helping us realise our goal of impacting every young person in South Africa with our entrepreneurship programme. And technology is the most feasible means of doing so.
By taking our entrepreneur programme to a digital platform, we are able to reach thousands more learners than we currently are with running the programme in classrooms on a face-to-face model. If our material is accessible via electronic devices, and learners are able to communicate with us via this medium for mentorship and support, we are confident that we will see the desired outcomes faster.
We’re excited! Come on, be excited with us, lend your support, and make a real difference!
