SAIP Physics for Development Foundation Trust
The SA physics society, established in 1955. The SAIP is a unique, credible and innovative organisation with a membership of more than 3 500 professionals, academics, teachers and students. Over 10% of the members are in African countries and abroad. Ten South African physicists serve on the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) commissions and executive council. The organisation is dedicated to increasing the understanding and application of physics in South Africa. The SAIP Physics for Development Foundation, with NPO and PBO registrations, is the fundraising arm and is focused on seeking donor partners to improve the quality of maths and science education in South Africa.
