Road to Junior World Cup 62639 Campaign

Dear prospective sponsor,

My name is Shanna Mendonça and I have the privilege of representing my country as part of the u21 South African hockey ladies side at the upcoming Junior Hockey World Cup taking place in Chile (29 November-11 December).

As a student-athlete on a sports bursary (at the University of the Witwatersrand), I understand that with a good support system, consistent hard work and the right mindset anything is possible. 

Over the past year alone I’ve been awarded:

• Gold medal at African Cup

• Junior Player of the Tournament at senior IPT (Inter- Provincial Tournament)

• Wits Ladies Hockey Player of the Year 

• Wits Junior Sportswoman of the Year

Playing in the world cup was a dream placed in my heart and mind by my 13 year old self. All the sacrifices, time, energy, and effort have gotten me to where I am today… but I haven't come this far, only to come this far.

Attending the Hockey World Cup is a self- funded program, therefore I am humbly asking for financial support in any capacity to make my dream a reality.
