SISA Foundation Trust
Founded in 1921, Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement with a network of over 75,000 club members in 122 countries. Advocating for human rights and gender equality, at the heart of Soroptimist International’s advocacy is its work across six UN Centres, where our UN representatives ensure that the voices of women and girls are heard. Our membership work on grassroots projects that help women and girls achieve their individual and collective potential, realize aspirations and have an equal voice in communities worldwide.
In South Africa Soroptimist falls under the umbrella of the SISA Foundation Trust. We endeavour to raise the funds necessary to ensure that our eight clubs have the funds to support the communities in which they work. Soroptimist International of South Africa is made up of professional working women, all of whom have one thing in common – the desire and commitment to give back to their communities and to those who are less fortunate around the world.
