Sonè Geldenhuys

2019 – Sonè was doing field hockey at Elarduspark Primary school, for the 1st team, she was the goalie for the team.

 She was then approached by one of her team members to start with Ice-Hockey.

The first practice session was done and the same week she played for the under 14 team goalie , her home team since the beginning is the Ice-Hawks that is stationed at The Grove mall.

Later in 2019 she started being goalie for most of the divisions, U14, U16 and Woman’s team

2020-2021 Unfortunately this was COVID lockdown time and all practices and games was ended.

2022 Sone played her normal teams was also chosen for the Huskies(top woman’s team Gauteng)

And then she was also chosen for the IPT’s(Inter Provincial tournament) for the Gauteng team.

2023 IPT’s, Sone was chosen as MVP(Most valuable player) of the tournament, see stats attached.

Sone was chosen for the U/18 South-African Woman’s team, to represent South-Africa in Bulgaria in January 2024.

Sone is also doing camp currently for the South-African woman’s team, that will be going to Turkey in April 2024.
