Errol Nienaber Crowd Funding Campaign

Hi Nipper and Sylvi here, friends of Errol and Sally Nienaber.

Errol is known as a rock climber who climbed with Eckhart Habe and Chris Lomax, and opened trad climbs in Limpopo. He settled in Haenertsburg with Sally, his wife, and is well known in the area for his thorough work as a handyman and tree feller.

This came to a sudden halt when he had a  bad stroke and his left side became paralysed (on 31 October this year). He spent a few days in Tzaneen mediclinic ICU were he was assessed and treated, and is now back home with Sally and Phineas taking care of him. He is currently unable to walk. 

Errol and Sally do not have medical aid or savings to cope with a situation like this. Errol is unable to carry on with his work, which involved physical work. The medical costs so far have been the hospital stay and an MRI, which amounted to R53 000. 

Because Errol can't work and Sally needs to care for him, they will be unable to work for the foreseeable future, this is a huge stress on Sally, who feels they should sell their house to pay for these costs. 

By raising R120 000, this would cover the initial hospital fees, 3 months of living costs, assistive devices (so far most have been generously donated) and any basic follow-up medical care. It would allow Sally to look after Errol without added financial burden.
