The Astar Project NPC
TAP currently focuses on art programmes for primary school children attending after-school programmes in community centres and for unemployed youth who attend development programmes that create opportunities for further study and work placement.
Over the last two years we have worked with about 170 children attending programmes at community centres in Nyanga, Philippi and Crossroads in the Cape Metropole area and in Matatiele in the Eastern Cape. We have also worked with more than 250 unemployed youth from under-resourced communities in the Metropole who have attended programmes that provide further study and work opportunities in the education, environment and arts sectors.
Our fundraising campaign centres on continuing a much loved after-school programme that we are currently running for children at the Ikamva Labantwana communty centre in Crossroads.
