Bonebridge implant surgery for my son Campaign

I am a 25-year-old mother to a 5-year-old child. My son, Siphiwe, was born in 2018 with a condition known as microtia. It has been an incredibly challenging journey to provide for his needs, especially since I am currently unemployed.

Siphiwe has been under the care of the Ear Institute Queenswood since 2019, and he recently visited us on April 28, 2022, for a sedated Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) test. He was born with bilateral microtia and atresia, which means he lacks the outer ear pinna, outer ear canal, and middle ear structures and bones. The most recent ABR results have shown that he has a bilateral moderately-severe reverse slope conductive hearing loss.

The importance of raising funds for Siphiwe cannot be overstated. Our goal is to provide him with the gift of speech and hearing. By raising funds, we aim to make it possible for him to undergo a surgery known as the bonebridge implant procedure.

The funds we raise through this campaign will be dedicated to covering the expenses of this crucial operation.

Your contribution will bring us closer to giving Siphiwe the opportunity to experience the world through sound and to communicate with the people around him.

Please join us in this journey and help us make a lasting difference in Siphiwe's life.
