The GAP College
Gap is a school born from the dire need for a facility for "grey-area" children. These are children whose intellectual and subsequent social development is delayed.
GAP stands for Gifted And Purposed. Every child is gifted to us, and its up to us to dig deep and uncover their talents. Many of our learners were previously provided with 1 meal a day, with some only eating 4 or 5 times a week, before joining us.
GAP has a full school based support team comprising of an Occupational Therapist, an educational Psychologist, a speech therapist, Clinical Psychologist and specialist remedial teachers.
We are currently using our hall as a teaching space and are in dire need of growing our facilities and build 4 formal classrooms as we currently have 20 children with a 1 to 4 ratio (1 teacher to 4 children), with more parents requesting space for their children.
We ask you for your help and support to raise enough funds to be able to expand and maintain our school as well as erect a vertical garden to ensure we never run out of the vital brain food that helps them grow and become stronger mentally and physically.
