Help Iwan pursuing his dream Campaign

As proud parents, we kindly request help and assistance in sending our son, Iwan Liebenberg, to the 2023 South African (SA) National Freshwater Angling Championship. This annual championship is presented under the auspice of the South African Freshwater Bank Angling Federation (SAFBAF).

Iwan (14 years old) has been selected to represent the Freestate province, as a member of the under 19 B-team, at the 2023 SA National Freshwater Championship held at Bloemhof from 9 - 13 December. It is his ultimate dream to be selected for the Junior National Protea team. This championship is required for him to improve and cement his national ranking for him to be considered for further selection. If he does well at the National Championship, he will be invited to the National Trials that is held directly thereafter over a period of 2 days.

The top highlights of Iwan’s angling career, are:

2023 – Junior (under 19 year) Freestate provincial champion

2022 – Ranked 36th overall (out of +-260 anglers) on the National ranking list

2022 – Finish 16th overall at the National Championship in the under 19 year category (out of 52 anglers)

2022 – Member of the SAFBAF under 13 A-team

2021 – Awarded the Top under 13 year Freestate angler

2021 – Came 3rd at the SA National championship in the under 13 category

Iwan has proofed at his young age that he has the focus and determination to achieve the highest accolades in his sport.

The funds required are to cover accommodation, meals, and transport partially.

As trotse ouers vra ons asseblief hulp en ondersteuning om ons seun, Iwan Liebenberg, na die 2023 Suid Afrikaanse (SA) Nasionale Varswater Hengel Kampioenskappe te stuur. Hierdie jaarlikse kampioenskappe word aangebied onder die beheer van Suid Afrika Varswater Oewerhengel Federasie (SAVOF).

Iwan (14 jaar oud) is gekies om die Vrystaat provinsie te verteenwoordig, as lid van die onder 19 B-span, tydens die 2023 SA Nasionale Varswater Hengel Kampioenskappe wat gehou word in Bloemhof, vanaf 9 - 13 Desember. Dit is sy droom om vir die Junior Nasionale Protea span gekies te word. Hierdie kampioenskappe is nodig om sy nasionale rang-posisie te verstewig sodat hy in aanmerking kan kom vir verdere seleksie. Indien hy goed doen by die Nasionale Kampioenskappe, word hy genooi na die Nasionale Proewe wat onmiddelik daarna plaasvind oor 'n tydperk van 2 dae.

Iwan het op sy jong ouderdom telkemale al bewys dat hy die fokus en deursettingsvermoë het om die hoogste erkenning te kry in sy sport.

Die fondse wat benodig word is om verblyf, etes en branstof gedeeltelik te dek.
