Ubuntu Addiction Community Trust
The Ubuntu Addiction Community Trust also known as U-ACT is a registered Not for Profit Section 18a Trust (IT 9717/07) that was established in 2007 out of a need to create well-researched and uniquely developed innovative solutions that make quality recovery accessible to those suffering from addiction as well as other previously disadvantaged groups in South Africa.
Supporting individuals and communities affected by substance abuse
During the past six years, we have focused on providing support to Community Initiatives, religious communities, police and government organisations by crafting strategies that confront the issues of substance abuse and addiction in communities. Ubuntu Addiction Community Trust programs are grouped into four areas: Training, Empowerment, Treatment and Workplace Consultancy.
U-ACT is an in-person Recovery Coach Training school in South Africa. U-ACT is the only programme with a pathway to international certification to teach a ground-breaking approach to Recovery, “The Recovery Coaching Model” in a series of highly interactive courses. Proven whole-life coaching approach enables people to achieve success and fulfillment in their work and life through a powerful coach/client alliance that promotes and enhances the lifelong process of learning.
