U20 Ice Hockey World Championships Campaign
My name is Vusi Skosana and I was chosen to play for the U20 national South African ice hockey team.
I’m 15 years old and have been playing for 9 years and now I have been given the opportunity to represent my country in Bosnia & Herzegovina in the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships.
To me ice hockey is more than a sport, it’s my passion.
It began when was ice skating every day and my sister suggested that I try ice hockey….
From the moment I picked up the stick I fell in love with the sport quickly, ice hockey became part of who I was, it became my identity.
The ice rink became my home and the team my second family. I have learned so much from the sport from teamwork to never giving up, I can finally say that hard work and dedication definitely gets you where you want to go. As ice hockey has taught me so much and shaped to be the person i am today, I want to be able to give back to the sport and representing my country in an international competition would be a dream come true; not only for myself, but for my team too.
The total cost of the trip is R25 000
and includes flights and accommodation
Currently my family is unable to pay this whole sum of money and your assistance in this regard would be much appreciated.
I hope, that by being allowed this opportunity I will be able to make you, my family, my country and myself proud.
Thank you for your support and I hope I’ll make you all proud.
With much appreciation,
Vusi Skosana
