Western Cape Association for Persons with Disabilities
WCAPD was established in 1937 and born out of the need to assist persons with disabilities in coping with social issues. Since our founding, we are providing developmental social services to persons with disabilities in the province with 27 branches inclusive of 13 child care centres and 19 protective workshops.
Our services include rendering social and skills development programs as well as employment and childcare education and capacity building.WCAPD believe in involving persons with disabilities in raising awareness and providing practical advice to their peers.
The peer support programs involve persons with disabilities actively raising awareness in the community and provide advice to able and not able bodies.
