Funds for Survival Campaign

Many of you who have followed my story as a former student activist excluded from Rhodes University to now being an unemployed young adult, I have been struggling with employment opportunities which has also affected my ability to pay my debts such as rent and to be able to afford other basic necessities. I am from a poor working class family so I cannot depend on my family to assist me. I a currently launching a civil suit against R.U. in which I am claiming damages. 

I need your assistance to make through these next few weeks until January 2024. I have been continuously applying for funding opportunities and also doing some freelance work on the side when the opportunities arise however the year 2023 has been a really difficult year for me financially.

In August 2023, I had to defend myself against a possible eviction at the JHB magistrate court against my landlord due to the fact that I have an outstanding rent bill of 11 months unpaid rent and counting. I am hoping I will be able to cover the entire bill soon because this debt has made my stay uncomfortable further jeopardizing my safety and as a young adult woman. My right to safe and affordable housing has been severely compromised and I am fighting to turn things around.
