Rudi wants to be clean Campaign
This is my youngest son Rudi. He was admitted to a rehab centre for alcohol and drug abuse, on Monday the 16th of October 2023.
I originally had him involuntarily "captured" because I did not think that he would give himself up, but boy oh boy was I wrong. I thought that he would resist and that they would have to sedate him because he would go swinging and go all mad dog on the intervention team. But no. He was calm and got into the vehicle without any resistance. I could not believe it.
It got me thinking that he was glad to be taken to a safe place where he could get the treatment that he so desperately needed. He was asking for help, but I just did not understand what he needed and how bad the situation really was, not until some work colleagues of him asked for a meeting with me and suggested the intervention because they were worried as well.
He is a model patient thus far (the withdrawal symptoms have not started yet) and he has already enquired to enroll in the boxing club that the facility has on the premises.
It is a Christian facility with 2 pastors living opposite the premises and they must attend church sessions.
I truly believe that this is the answer to all of our prayers because where God is present, everything will turn out good, because HE is Good, Almighty, and the ONLY true God!
The cost of the facility is R6 500 plus R500 per month for the boxing club and the minimum course that they facilitate is 6 months. Then there are 2 shops, also on the premises where they must buy all their toiletries, tea, coffee, sugar, laundry detergent etc, and then a tuck shop for some sweets and cooldink. This is not a set amount and it depends on how much he needs to buy.
I am not working currently, and thus this plea for some financial support PLEASE. My son is one of the most important people in my life and I will do anything to get him through this. Please support this cause to safe my son.
Please do not feel pressured to contribute anything if you do not have the means.
